The hotel's location in the San Telmo area was perfect. It allowed us to easily explore this vibrant neighborhood at different times of the day, experiencing its lively atmosphere and discovering hidden gems. Additionally, being close to everything ensured we could easily access transportation and explore other areas of the city for more perspective.

The Axel combines the feel of a hostel with the surroundings of a design hotel in a good way. I had never stayed in a gay hotel and was a bit afraid that it would be a bathhouse, but not at all. The environment is such that it is very easy to meet and talk with other guests, the staff are friendly, and the overall experience was very good. So good that I left a 5 star hotel to come back for another few days.

There were several problems during the 2nd 4 days of my stay. The city view rooms are very noisy and strangely have no refrigator or mini-bar. The internet was down for several days in a row. The heating wasn't working, and they were having major difficulties with the temperature of the indoon pool (it was hotter than the hot tub for several days). They were shooting a commercial on the last day of my stay and took over most of the hotel which was inconvenient and about which there was no notice or apology.

The location of the hotel is ideal, as it is near the city center and within walking distance to various attractions. One reviewer mentioned that it is close to the Palermo district, known for its vibrant nightlife and trendy shops. Another reviewer mentioned that there is a police station nearby, which adds to the feeling of safety and security. the hotel has a unique architectural design, with glass stairs and a glass-bottom pool on the top floor. the rooms are modern and have amenities such as walk-in showers and interesting towel storage in port holes.

One reviewer mentioned that the sauna and jacuzzi tubs were out of order, which could be disappointing for those looking to relax and unwind.

Very welcoming. Very accommodating. The hotel was so nice about early check-in due to the early morning arrival in Buenos Aires from the States. They were also helpful with a late check-out as our departure was in the evening. The hotel is different and so interesting.

The actual street the hotel was on was not pristine, but I have experienced that in many places in the world ..... not that big of a deal. Guests were always greeted either at the door or just inside the door which was a great comfort.

The front desk staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful.

I was very disappointed in the two swimming pools. The inside pool is way too hot and the air was steaming hot so hot water and hot air was terrible. It's the outdoor pool that should have been heated since the weather was cool. However, the rain shower in my bathroom made up for this. After a long day of sightseeing, the shower was very relaxing.

Had an amazing time during my Easter getaway! The hotel had a modern and stylish design, and it was always kept clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised by the free breakfast offered every morning and the glass pool on the rooftop was definitely a highlight of my trip. , the central location was convenient to explore the city.

Although the neighborhood was safe during the day, I didn't feel comfortable walking alone at night. , the music from the rooftop pool party was a bit too loud for me, but it seemed like other guests were having a great time.

This hotel is simply amazing! The location is fantastic, it's close to many great attractions in the city. The staff here are so friendly and helpful, they always say yes to every request. The room amenities are top-notch, with air conditioning and an in-room safe. The dining options are excellent, with a restaurant and a bar/lounge area. I especially loved the leisure facilities, such as the sauna and swimming pool. And the best part? They offer free wi-fi in public areas!

I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

not much really besides the location.

this is a suppsedly hetero friendly hotel. But they were not particularly gay friendly aither. indifferent . very noisy. they seem to think they are a disco. the rooms did not even have a waste bin.

The hotel is great value for money for when I stayed. The staff are excellent very helpful and speak perfect English. I am a big fan of modern decor and this hotel is perfect for decor in the rooms, in the hotel and in the spa away. The gym is more than adequate and the pools , jacuzzi are perfect. It is very clean, very relaxed and doesnt make you feel uncomfortable in anyway despite being a gay hotel.

First of the warning I would give is that this is a well know gay hotel in the gay part of town. I didnt know this when booked but I dit not feel uncomfrotable anyway in staying there. Room service was very limited if you had got in from a long flight for eg. However being buenos aires there was a fantastic steak restaurant not far away and more than makes up for it! Dinner is only seerved late like 9pm which was a pain when used to eating at 6pm. The only other coment I would make is that the area is a little gritty and I didnt feel that safe around it. One other slight comment I would make that got annoying was internet seemed to drop and be out of action a few times a day. It was a problem they were fixing.

I liked the glass box shower and the body massage jets. The room wasn't noisy as people had said but I lived in Buenos Aires for years and there are places much more noisy. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was very good and varied.

The prices in the minibar are off the scale - more than New York. I let my jetlag dehydration rule rather than pay 5 bucks for a small bottle of water
